Based on a cult film that failed to delight professional critics, the musical stage version of “Xanadu” has become a winner all around. The goddess Clio (Elizabeth Stanley) ventures into the mortal world disguised as Kira, a beautiful roller skater with an Australian accent. But defying the decrees of Zeus, she falls in love with a mortal, Sonny Malone (Max von Essen), who reciprocates.
